1979 242 gt, all of a sudden the dash warning lights started staaying on when the cars running.. like how they all light up right before you start except they just stay on... what could cause this?

your right because it fixed itself. stayed on until i went on the highway then slowly got dimmer and dimmer and poof gone!

sometimes this happens on redblock cars when their is an issue in the charging circuit....

Might be the alternator brushes wearing out, pretty easy to check and or replace. Next time the lights stay on, check the battery voltage to make sure it's charging.
