Sitech is fairly well known for their Focus RS manifold that bolts up to several Volvo engines as well. I while back I purchased a manifold for review, which unfortunately arrived in a condition that did not lend well to testing. I wrote the best review I could based on design alone and left it at that.
Then I had this forwarded to me from VCPUK:
Last week the guy that runs Volvospeed.com phoned up and was trying to get one for free. I had to laugh as he ranted on giving all sorts of "puffed up" drivel about being the leading info site and seller of performance tuning parts for the B5234t engine and volvo's in general. Please be aware that he is not fully up to speed on the install of this on a volvo and there needs to be modifications done to the runners etc and it is not a straight swap. You need to install a much bigger throttle body too and the Focus RS one CANNOT be used on 850's/V70's as it is fly by wire.Having said that it is not expensive to do the convesion nor is it difficult to do the mods even at a begginers level. If anyone is interested in one you can drop me a line. It has been specifically designed to breath better and the gains are very impressive.
To address a few key points here:
1. I never called anyone there, nor did anyone ever call me.
2. I didn't feel like going into details that my car did not have the stock thermostat or power steering, but he told me that this will post up directly to an S60.... which it will not, nor did I expect it to.

Hi Charles, yes it is definatly something we are interested in. I am aware that my inlet is a direct fit on the Volvo where as the Mountune is not.
3. I never asked for a free manifold.

Also what Volvos have you confirmed the manifold works on? I know it will post up to all the I5 engines but had any clearance issues?

Morning Charles, we have had them on C30 and V40 I5s with no issue.
As we are a small op here in the UK and a large development bill on the manifold, I am prepared to let you have one at cost price of £240 plus shipping.
his would be the cheapest I have ever sold one for.

Thats fine as cost was not the issue. I was just curious is anyone had tried to bolt this up to say an S60 or an 850. I know it will bolt up but wondering what all would need to be relocated. I can find out for you guys. What is the best payment option for you? Visa, Paypal, let me know.

Its funny how it is a straight swap then it isn't going by those posts. Its not even worth explaining to him that the car has an after-market head, is standalone, and has no power steering.
A lot of other bad details there too, but I am only going to concern myself with the facts.
1. This is the second one I have inspected and both were rough finish.
2. The one I purchased for review was too flawed to provide an accurate review of the product and company.
3. I never called or spoke to Sitech via phone
4. I never asked for anything free.
5. I never received a refund or replacement unit after complaining about the defective one.
If there is any question to how defective it was here:

As for VCPUK I was going to sign up there to comment but after signing up with my webmaster@volvospeed.com address I received the following:

Sorry,

If you know anyone with a RS of Volvo please pass this info on to them. Again I would like to say the manifold itself was a good design, but customer service and the actual product........ Use caution if ordering direct from Sitech.
