There should be more in your setup, time to start playing with the tune.

Believe me, that's been a never ending process :D AFR's were about 11 when I was logging data at the track. Definitely need to work on that.

Not sure if this was a mistake, but since I have the rev limiter raised to 7600rpm, I finished in 3rd gear (7200rpm). My thinking was, one less shift may shave a split second from my times. Since the power drops of after about 6100rpm's anyway, I'm wondering if shifting to 4th towards the end of the track may have actually been a better idea

The OP is running a smaller turbo than you are, which causes his power to fall off at ~6100 rpm, whereas your setup likely keeps pulling to 7600.

even if you dont get traction (i know thats the main problem here) shouldnt your trap be higher than 104? how much boost?
With a bad launch maybe, but it sounds more like he was burning half the track  Check the 660ft. It's a rule of thumb that a bad launch isn't going to hurt trap speed heavily, but that's because of the short distance of the track. Make it a mile track, or a much faster car and that's going to change. You spin your tires half way down, you don't magically build speed :P

Trapping 104 was really one of the only things I was happy with. I didn't read all 16 pages of the pinned "1/4 Mile Times" thread, but looking at the list on page 1 made me feel OK about my trap speed.

Obviously I was disappointed with my first trip to the track, but I really think if I can get a LITTLE traction I could get a respectable run. Remember too...we're only talking about a K24. Most put that turbo in a class with the 18/19T. I love it though, especially for a DD :)

Were you at 75-80 on the September 30th? Saw a pretty sweet silver S70 much like yours there, but couldn't find the driver to talk to.

That was me. It got really crowded, waited about an hour between runs. I was probably grabbing a hotdog :)

Yea, being in lane two was a rip off too. My friend in lane 1 made probably two to three passes to my one pass.

I think on that run I was up against a modified early Camaro or Nova. It was a test and tune, so there was a little bit of everything there that night. I had a couple of runs against a Nissan 200SX SR20DET that ran pretty good. Other than a LSD the kid hadn't done much to the car, but it was running 13.1-13.2 seconds all night. He smoked me off the line, since I couldn't get any traction, but I felt like I may have closed on him a little towards the end. May have just been wishful thinking though :D

Jeff take off your skirt and put slicks on the car and don't worry about the tranny  . I cut a 1.82 one tire fire 60" and had no worries about it. Slicks are more gentle than radials anyhow.

What size wheels and slicks did you use? I'll keep an eye on craigslist and see what I can find. This car will rarely go to the track, so I can't justify buying new :) I have 302 brakes, so I guess 15's are not an option??
