Man, that must have been a piss off!

I was on the fence between a 707 setup and Spec stage 3+. Went with the Stage 3+ (SO133F). It holds everything i've thrown at it so far, it is grabby and engages better than the 6 puck Spec stg 3 dual mass I had previously. Mine does rattle at idle quite badly. I don't know if it's a product of the singlemass conversion since i'm still using the internal slave or what. The noise level at idle varies, depending how slowly I let the pedal out and completely goes away with the pedal pushed in.

Are you internal or external slave?

BTW, Southbend can supply the 707 plate, so can Lars @ lgspeed. Can't remember the pricing off the top of my head.

I have the noise too with my external set up. Doug has the issue as well with his internal slave set up. Both of us are Single mass.

Yup, pressure plate is definitely f*cked. Can't even do wastegate pressure (11psi) over 5k rpm. Looks like this year at Carlisle will be "All show, No go" for me :(

You have no idea K :( . We were going to tune for 22psi tonight too. It just feels better and better the more boost we throw at it. Would've definitely blown right past 400whp mark on the dyno. This just gives me some time to save up and build a nasty clutch kit with a ridiculous pressure plate I suppose? Might look into getting the flywheel repinned for a 707 pressure plate or something from a BMW.

You shouldnt need a nasty clutch for 400whp though. Look at how regular and stock looking this HPF clutch is that can hold 750whp http://www.1addicts....ad.php?t=589489

A noisy grabby clutch is PITA, hopefully you can find a happy medium.

Those pressure plates are also much more than the the 2,000# clamp force than what I have though....

That HPF is still only a 2500lb PP yet holds 750whp. Ive tried it myself and its smooth and quiet. So hopefully you can get someone to make you one with the best of both worlds.
