The mechanic says it blows smoke after coming to a stop because the turbo seals need changed.Ever hear of this problem or what it costs to fix it?Thanks

If it only blows smoke while idling (and only after the car warms up) and not when under accel., then it is your turbo. I just changed the core in mine (which was about 8 years ago, and I think it costed me ~ $400). I bought it from turbonetics.

It's possible that the turbo oil return pipe is partially blocked by coke, where this may prevent some of the oil returning to the sump. If this is the cause and it's corrected (usually replacing the pipe) soon enough, odds are the turbo will be fine.
