I ask because that's the same way another high end wheel finsher redid my Solars - with silver faces and black barrels.

My guess is it's the same reason a salon styles your hair before you leave, so it looks good to the other customers as you're walking out.

Two completely done. Torqued down, centers on, loctite'd. Ready to roll. Just need to do one more bead of silicone around the seams, which I'll do when all of the wheels are put together.

When I get the adapters I'll mock em up. I can't get anywhere near close putting them on the car right now because they'll hit the struts before the back of the face is even close to the hub.

He's planning to use them as bar stools or coffee tables. They're never actually going to be mounted.

At least he decided on a wheel he wants! Pretty sure it's been over a year since you started talking about buying lighter wheels than those boat anchors and you still haven't! haha

I cannot wait to molest these bitches this weekend.

OK, Mr. I'm Not Going To Drive My Car If There Is Even A .01% Chance Of Rain. Same thing as I'm not going to put on bare aluminum wheels with salt on the roads.

Well, unfortunately on a college budget a $2k wheel build that required new barrels (a 3 month process), powdercoat (two weeks), adapters (two weeks), complete strip, sand, polish, all new hardware, etc doesn't happen in one weekend. ;) Especially when the roads are caked in salt.
