Strut construction seems to be decent and the endlink mounting points look like the stock ones. Much better than the D2 setup.

What are the options for spring rates for the rear?

Unfortunately I don't have the exact specs, yet. I'll see if I can get something from the Mfg. I do know that the fronts are linear and the rears are progressive springs.

The fronts look like standard coilover springs, so they should be easy to swap out for difference rates. The rears are not standard, which is why I asked.

rears look very similar to the D2's except the rear shocks do not look length adjustable. Unfortunately, you would need some form of adapter like the TKi top mounts to adapt a smaller spring to the rear.

I was hoping that it would be a real coilover in the rear, but i can keep dreaming..

You can shorten the D2 shocks?

Oh well, not going to stop me from going beyond its limitations.

Yeah, the lower eyelit is threaded onto the shock body so you can shorten/extend the shock. I should check... I think mine could be shortened more...

Interesting. They look nice from the pictures. Can you adjust dampening or just height?

That's what I was thinking. I'm honestly surprised that it at least looks like the construction seems half decent (pending materials).

Looks like you use the OEM spring seat/bearing.

Yes they still use the stock spring seat but the pressure points are completely different than stock. My assumption is that the seat will last longer with this set up than the OEM spring set up.

So you could rip off the sway bar link tab instead?

^^ this happened to 1 guy.... i've been riding on my d2's for some time now and i have absolutly no issues....I'm as low as Kalvin putting stress on everything and i still have yet to see anything break

edit: and your willing to sacrifice no dampening control, no rear adjustment, and by the looks of it absolutly no camber control because 1 guy had a tab break off, seems like a great idea to me

No problems yet 6 months on less than ideal PNW roads. If it does happen it should be easy to repair & strengthen. Not to get into a pissin match with you, just saying that area of the of the designs available(stock vs camber plate) was a MAJOR factor in my choice.

I'm not saying it's going to happen to everybody, but there's give and take with both coilover setups. He said that having to use the factory seat and mount was garbage and one reason to go to D2, well, these have reinforced sway bar link mounts and it's one reason to go to these instead of the tab on D2s. And the camber plates might be nice, but what happens when that joint wears out? Is D2 going to send replacements? Personally, I would prefer the factory mounts because when they wear out, I can replace them.

And yes...yes I am. Because my goal is to get low and rub the paint off of my fender lips and rub grooves into my tires at the expense of my suspension. If I was concerned with ride quality and performance handling, I wouldn't have ran the Koni DIY coilovers for a year that were so stiff that you could jump up and down on the front fender and the car wouldn't have even moved, but they got me low and that's what I cared about. And if I want to add more camber, which I probably will, I'll get camber bolts.

All I'm saying is that each coilover setup is going to have it's perks and it's downfalls, and it's whatever you want to put up with. Same as girls, they're all crazy, just depends on what kind of crazy you can deal with. I don't care about dampening control, but I do care about my sway bar link falling off, and one person that happening to was enough for me.

And no pissing match wanted. I totally get what you're saying. For me, having camber plates is not an issue, wasn't a necessity for what my goals are.The tab breaking worries me about it happening again, one reason I didn't want D2.

Agreed, there are ups and downs with every Mfg.

These are by no means a replacement/competition for KWs or even D2s in terms of adjustability. I'm only bringing these to the market for those people who want to go low (and possible go up again over the Winter months) and to offer a cheaper alternative than those mentioned before.

Everybody has to decide for themself which options are important to him/her and how much they would like to spend.
