Well then don't touch HIDS, no point in ordering china specials, and throwing them in a headlight NOT meant for Xenon bulbs. Just save up and do it right. And you can find projectors for little to no money if you look around, So many cars have them now days, that you can find some Projectors from a nice brand for cheap.

You wouldn't do a projector retrofit on a s60, you'd just buy the new style bi-xenon headlights, doing a retrofit looks like a$$ on those cars (as far as I've seen)

Paying $35 for lights that cosmetically look better I don't see what the big deal is haha

Spencer doesn't have Projectors, and most people go cheap because they don't know about projectors, you're going cheap and potentially killing someone someday who cant see shit on the road thanks to your unbelievably useless light output.

In other words Jackson, keep your headlights stock.

Spencer doesn't have Projectors

I had them for about a year, and as rye, Adam j, and other members, can back me up cause they rid in my car when they were in, I got flashed all the time by oncoming drivers, and that was with them pointed lower than they should have been.

Your not gonna kill anybody, get off your soapbox hippie

All I've got to say is that I have a harder time seeing oncoming traffic when a Ferrari/Lexus/other high end car is coming at me than I do when an escalade with hid's is

Taylor Fin and I were talking about what to get exactly and we decided the best and sickest looking roof rack to get would be the one on IPD (http://www.ipdusa.co...-bar-kit-p2-s60) We spent and hour or so looking around Craigslist looking for cheaper racks that fit my S60 and couldn't find anything lower than $150. Just seems like the smartest option is to go IPD.

Then we also talked about picking up a fairing for it as well. He said this would work cause it's Thule which "should" fit onto the OEM bars (http://www.amazon.co..._cmu_pg__header) I'm not sure about this but there's no fairings on IPD. Anyone know for sure if it will work or not?

In other news, I'm getting this and painting it black and it should go on by mid-January: http://www.amazon.co...20631400&sr=1-1

And regarding HIDs, I decided to wait until May and get projectors. Sorry Spence, he convinced me.

You getting the newer OEM headlights, right? Not retro fitting, right?

That rack and fairing should work fine Jackson. Did Taylor show you the black s60r with a rack?

I'm not exactly sure yet but I decided projectors, though expensive, are the way to go.

I'll sell you those same cross bars as iPd for $50 but you'll have to come up with a few small bits of rubber to keep them from touching the paint. Shouldn't be hard, little bits of silicone hose would probably work fine. You're a creative guy, I'm sure you could figure it out.

I also might have enough spare parts to put together a pair of OEM Xenon R headlights.

Danny you are the Volvo God.

When you say cross bars do you mean the full roof rack? Because if so then HECK YES!!! I can easily come up with some bits of rubber, not hard. Done deal if it's that same thing!

And with the lights, that sounds amazing! How much $$$ are we talking here for you to put those together?

I mean if they are just the bars and not the towers then I'd need to find the towers and from what I've searched they are the majority of the cost anyways. Be awesome if you could get me some towers too for cheap but I know Gods can only do so much. What condition are the bars in?

And I did a little research on the lights and they are filthy! How much??? :D

Yeah go for the OE R reflectors if you can, even though their not projectors, they were as Danny said, designed with Xenon bulbs.

And just for Jackson's sake, are those cross bars for sale Thule style or yakima style?

The bars I have appear to be exactly what iPd sells, they are OEM Volvo cross bars and have never been mounted but spent 6 months being bumped around in the parts room.

Headlights I'll have to look into a bit further but I'm 90% sure I can put together a set. I might be able to paint the interior bits whatever color you like as well. If I can do it we'd be looking at about $450 I think.

I hear you on the bars, that's perfect! But I'm wondering if the towers come with. Taylor keeps telling me to make sure the bars come with the mounting towers. Just doing my homework.

$450? Ugh. I can find cheaper HID projectors almost anywhere. Sorry, I'll have to pass.
