We are going to be having a little Meet n Greet In San Diego, California on November 19th, 2011 at 11:00am.
We will meet at 11:00am at a place called Garbage beach by the locals off of Ladera Street. But don't let the name fool you (think of Iceland), its actually a really nice beach with big cliffs all around it and a fairly big parking lot that normally has lots of empty free parking so we can park together, which is a rarity in San Diego. Its a little further but I promise is well worth it.
At 12:30-1pm we will be heading down to Ocean Beach to eat at a burger joint called Hodads (http://www.yelp.com/...odads-san-diego) for burgers and beer (for those 21+ VSers only),
Address is:
5010 Newport Ave
(between Abbott St & Bacon St)
San Diego, CA 92107
Those that did have a beer or 2 or the ones that want to hang out afterwords can head down newport and check out a really cool shop called The Black. Or down to the beach and walk along the pier until you are able to drive again.
Directions:
To the Beach
To get to the beach from the intersections of the 5 and 8 FWYs you go to the end of the 8 west freeway, make a quick left, then right (essentially continuing straight onto sunset cliffs st) and continue on the road to the very end, straight at first, then keep after it sweeps left, the ocean will be on your right, keep going straight on Sunset cliffs, always keeping right with the ocean to your right. At the very end there is a sharp left and you go up a hill. At the top of the hill make a right and go on a short dirt road to the parking lot.

Here is a view coming up on Ladera. The meeting parking lot is in Red

You can see where you turn onto the dirt road and the lot highlighted in red

From there we will take the same road back and go left on newport into Ocean Beach to go to a burger joint called Hodad's.

We will be coming into this picture on the green path. You can park Anywhere in the Red that you can find a spot (some is paid). Maybe we will just take a few cars to the beach to keep it from being a nightmare. We can also take the yellow path to a more empty free lot if we want and walk to the Hodads (marked in blue)
