Hey Everyone,

I posted a while ago here about the stealership trying to abuse me and I want to thank the forum again for helping me through. After lurking for over 6 months, searching, and acquiring countless bookmarks around the web, I'm finally going to replace a bunch of stuff on my car with the long weekend ahead.
I just have one, hopefully quick thing to run by you guys. With replacing so much and trying to keep the price down, I'm 99% sure I want to go with fcpgroton. I am going to post a pic in case someone else wants to use my parts list as a reference. Here it is:

Posted Image

Are there any additions, subtracts, or replacements from another site that you guys would make so I can not jack up the price too much but ensure I'm still getting great/genuine parts? I want this car to last so please feel free to add any suggestions or part advice. And yes, I don have the millions of walk-throughs printed out and I'm having my buddy help me out.

Thanks.

Damn, just realized I have a second timing belt on there. Please ignore it. BTW, is there a way to edit the post so I can upload the right pic?

If you are replacing the rad, I'd suggest you replace the rad hoses at the same time. Also inspect the oil cooler lines, to see if they need replacement as well. I haven't had mine off yet, but know the connection at the rad looks a little delicate.

I see Timing belt and water pump, how about the tensioner and pullys? Or are they in the kit? How grungy is your reservoir?

I would second the radiator hose top and bottom coolant reservoir and hoses top and bottom.

new t stat should come with the gasket ring, do the accesory belt too. since you are ordering, your oil cap is probably leaking too, get the oil cap o ring. you need to open up you timing belt cover and see if the cam seals are leaking. if they are plan on changing them too before you do the timing belt. get a new engine coolant temp sensor, its a cheap part to change while you have the t stat off. depending on how old the t stat bolts are, you might want to get two new ones of those. i suggest getting a long torx to take off the two bolts for the t stat.

use the fcpeuro site, much faster site and same prices for the most part

Have some zip ties on hand for securing the clips that hold the oil cooler lines to the radiator. Also, both times I have replaced radiators in these cars, I have ended up using a hack saw to cut at least one of the radiator mounts off of the radiator because the nut that is welded to the car tends to break off and it's round, not hexagonal. For this reason, you should probably have spare bolts, nuts, and washers (with a large surface area) lying around to use if you need them to mount the new radiator to the car.

Thanks everyone, this is exactly that I needed to know!

Yep, they are in the kit. The reservoir looks fine.

Adding to the list.

Yep, it was leaking. Adding these things to the list and I totally forgot about the temp sensor, thanks.

I am not seeing it on the list, but you will also need the Oil Cooler O-Rings for the radiator (FCP #6842413)

None of it is very hard - just take your time and hop online and do a search if you get stuck. Some good walk thrus on Matthew's Volvo site. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks but they are included in the Clamp/Seal Kit (6842411K).

I have gotten a bunch of PMs about the Nissens being cheap. What do you guys think of the Behr?
