So, my older brother lives in Germany, and he's thinking about picking up this 96 855 5-speed. He already has a 2005 S60R but he wants a beater while he's out there. Anyway, he finds this 855 in Poland and sent me a couple pics. I've never seen these seats before.

They look pretty beat up, but would they be worth sending the skins home when he's done with them? He might strip the car a bit after he's done with it and send me the 5-speed swap.

that's the normal half leather, well it is over here in the UK. Quite a common interior

Kinda hard to find. I've never seen anyone actively looking for them though.

Gabe (Gilbert tres tres) has a spare set I believe.

Yup, nothing special at all there. I see 93's and 94's with that interior in the JY all the time.

I don't like them and they look dated, but not in a cool nostalgic way.

they make it similar for the x70 as well, and its not leather its certainly pleater/vinyl

also the xc's have a decent seat option as well where instead of ugly busy material they get a tough denier type material

i have seen them in jy's as well rather often

Truth. They're sitting under my bed and the fronts are in my parents' garage. Barely ever see them, they're comfy, saving them for if some reason I ever have another 850 with a gross interior. Also, I read somewhere that this interior came on some of the diplomatic 850s that made their way over here, figured I'd save them.

Another gem of a post. The OP asked if the seats were worth anything, we told him they weren't, and he indicated that he was no longer interested. No one asked about door cards.

OP: Not sure what/if any further plans you or your brother have for this car, but shipping that trans from Germany will negate any possible price break. M56's are a dime a dozen these days.

forgive me, i wasnt aware i needed to read every post in a thread before i responded. i'll keep that in mind next time. i thought since the OP was maybe lookin at some new seats that he should consider the door panels as well.

Same with the AWD... if you don't actually own one, or never have, or plan to do so, then shut your pie hole.

True true. The plus is my bro is in the army; they will ship it for free when he's out of there. So, if I haven't gotten one before he ships out, I'm just going to have him mail it. But yea, definitely no longer interested in those seats lol.

Nah, I don't even like them lol. I just have never seen them before and didn't want to trash something that was rare/valuable/desirable. My R has good seats and I already did an R interior swap into my gf's 98 v70 na lol.

They remind me of cheap airline seats and the seats they put in the earlier dodge neons.
