I know lowering is the trend but the new wagon is for the girlfriend and she has plans for it. I didn't say "taste" I said "plans".
Anyways, with stock ride height how tall of tires can I go? Inner fenders can be ditched but I don't wanna hack the outer fenders.
It'll be on 17" Amalthia wheels (7.5 wide?) or possibly 15" steelies (6.5 wide?)
The oem steelies have 185/65-15's right now. Doesn't look like much more room but she needs as tall as possible.
I'm hoping some of you guys know from running winter mode wheel/tire combos

Thats basically the same height thats on it now ...
Its a little wider but the aspect ratio is less - works out to be about the same

Yeah, 195/60 and 185/65 are both stock tire sizes.

I know Ghost Shadow ran 27.xx" tall tires on his XC, but that has larger wheel wells and I believe he did some other work to fit those.

Hmmm, I dont wanna hack the outer fenders if I can avoid it. XC's have more fender space iirc too

Are you looking to save her from hitting potholes by putting big tires on there? Best bet is go with 15"s then at least you have a bigger sidewall...

It's actually for more height in general - It's going to be a "Battle Wagon" so it needs to look like it can run over zombies kinda thing
I thought slammed would be better but it's not really my build. I'm giving her free reign. Prolly sticking with the 15's tho

185/70 will be about 3/4 in. taller then what you have right now. you might be better off going with a 195/65 thats 1/2 in. taller and .4 in. wider. which is much better if your running over zombies.

I really with I could fit 205/70's on it but I dont think that's gonna happen. I'll prolly end up leaving the ones that are on there for awhile since they are pretty new. Then upgrade size somewhere down the line.
Gotta see if I can fabricate spring seat spacers. Might solve everything right there ...
