OP -- sorry Ron didn't provide you the service you expect from us, no excuse for that and I won't make one for him.

Glad to hear Ken got the file for you. We do store the tune files on our server for a time (don't remember the default length of time at the moment) and additionally it's my understanding that MTE does store the files as well. I believe they still have all the files all the way back to the inception of the Softloader program. That said, absolutely it's in your best interest to back up your file various places for ease of recovery if needed later.

Rest of the conversation aside, I just want to say that you guys are all welcome to PM/email/call me with any inquiry, concern, question, whatever. I might not always have the answer right away, but I'll always do everything I can for you. Contact info is in my sig.

To note also, if you ever have concerns about customer service, or whatever else, you are welcome to go right to Bud Cowgill (CS Manager) at bud@ipdusa.com or call and he is ext. 160. Scott Hart is the Division Manager and he is scott@ipdusa.com or call and he is ext 127. I promise you your feedback/concerns do not fall on deaf ears.

I’m sorry you got bad service from me. I take my job very seriously and do everything I can to provide the best service to our customers be it support them directly or find a source other than us that can meet their needs.

To Cameron and Ron, I appreciate you guys stopping by to put your two bits in; I'm glad to see iPd still has a presence around here. And again, thanks for getting the file back in my hands. Having a place locally where iPd stores the files, to me, makes a lot of sense.

And to Ron, apology accepted. :) We all have off days.

There is one fantastic case of irony here!

A competitor comes on here to kick us while we are down when he could have taken care of the O.P.'s issue.......

Do the math and then think about who you are doing business with!

I feel the bulk of this thread was more of a business strategy logistics thread than a support thread. As was echoed several times IPD never had a problem/issue other than a possible misunderstanding. Had the tune not been able to be recovered it would be a different issue, but that was not the case here.A thread with concern to IPD not having good customer support is never taken seriously here, as over the years everyone at IPD has gone above and beyond time after time. I have tossed vendors before who do not support their products and have no problem doing it again in the future, but I would put money on that not being an issue with IPD or anyone there. Lets chalk this up to some times you come across wrong on the phone and on the internet. I personally know all parties involved here and they are all stand up characters, even Justin ;)
