So long story short...

I recently had my spoiler ripped off my 850 (more like pushed off)...

and in the process of being ripped off it actually put some pretty deep gouges/ scratches into the paint of the trunk lid...

So now I have the dilemma of getting the spoiler mounting kit (~$100) from the dealer, or taking the spoiler off.

A better question is do I take the car back to the body shop, after having the front end recently redone with an R bumper (also hood, both fenders and front two doors), and having them respray just the trunk lid? and possibly the spoiler? (not gonna be less than $1000.00 from a reputable body shop here in Calgary, AB).

or

Do I take the car into the tint shop and have them wrap the trunk lid in carbon fiber (white, almost looks pearled as well). I could also get them tor wrap the spoiler as well, but I have a feeling that a spoiler-less trunk would look better wrapped, this option may have me entertain buying a roof or rear window spoiler (from the remaining stock "owned" or many of the other sellers) and having it wrapped at the same time...

so figured I would turn to the good ol volvo community and see their feedback...

^ +1 I agree. R Spoiler > Stock Spoiler

After you get that, you can do a combination of things. Paint it Platinum + CF wrap on the Grey trim. Do not wrap the whole spoiler, that looks ridiculous.

I don't think wrapping a Platinum would be a good idea.
If it was silver maybe. haha
