Hi guys been having lots of problems with my boost on my 96 850r auto it gets to about 5psi then dumps and rebuilds then dumps again.
I have reset waste gate actuator settings also tried manually closing waste gate but still doing it.almost sounds like its bypassing some where????
Also have changed the following off another car BCS,Air flow meter
I have fitted a manual boost controller in the mean time is a little better but still not as good as it was

Cheers

did you try checking the rubber diaphragm and the spring on the compressor bypass valve (cbv)

if there is a tear in the rubber it would release pressure, if the spring is bad then at 5psi it might be allowing the valve to release pressure before rebuilding to 5psi

Hi we took off the original diaphragm and replaced also replaced spring but made no difference.
I have decided to take turbo off and make it into a 18t while its getting rebuilt and also fit a forged cbv valve while i'm at it

Thanks for the reply

did you check all of your intercooler hoses? maybe there is a tear in one of those that only opens under pressure.

I would order a HD CBV from IPD, also you may as well go ahead and do silicone piping kit and while you are at it clean all of your intercooler piping and the intercooler itself.
