Trying to get my moms winter car running, without much luck. I've got fuel pressure to the rail, good spark, swapped the cam sensor with a known working one, but it just cranks and cranks and cranks. Car has had issues in the past with no start symptoms such as this, but holding down the gas pedal while cranking has usually fired it up. Not really sure what to throw at it next, any suggestions??

As I said, fuel pump's working, there is pressure to the rail. I can smell fuel when cranking, but thinking about it when I pulled the plugs they weren't soaked with gas? I know on my '98 there is an injector fuse, but I didn't see one on here, and I pulled all the fuses anyway and they were good.

How would I go about seeing if the injectors were working? Pull the entire rail, or is there another way? If they aren't, where do I go from there?

You can pull the rail and see if the injectors fire, it's messy but it's doable, we did it on the 242 LOL. You could ohm the harness too.

You indicated that this is a "winter car". How long has it been parked and did anyone add Stabil to the fuel before it got parked?

Assuming the fuel is good how does the car sound as you crank it? Does it crank fast? A teaspoon of oil in each cylinder could fix you right up but the smoke cloud will be amazing - do this outdoors and not in the garage. Fully charge the battery and keep cranking until it starts and runs.

It's driven weekly usually, only been sitting about a month. Cranks fast when the battery is good. It sounds like it wants to start, but never actually catches and fires up. I'll try to get a video this week sometime
