Use The Alarm Remote For Other Things?

I'm sure the volvo software has some good information but I can't access it at the moment... anyone familiar enough to pull out what I need? Or know off hand somehow?
I do have the wiring diagram but there isn't much, just pin numbers and colors.

For the 5 pins, there will be: 12V constant, Ground, ACC Power (to disable when the car is on and to enable programming), Unlock, Lock.

its +/- and 3 going to the bigger unit RCQ RSS RDA -- is it even disabled when the car is on? I thought i've opened the trunk with it while sitting idling
i could really use some vadis information about the pins of that alarm system box "LOCK ALARM CONTROL" p/n 9472463 (denso)

ok now i see where you're going with that... but that's all done from the 2nd, bigger module based on what those 3 other pins are saying. I'm going to hook those guys up to the arduino and see what I'm working with....... once i figure out how to do that.
also still concerned at this "+9" .. do i really have to step it down from 12v?

to the lock module that runs a digital signal for various operations.
You might have some fun dealing with that, but it'd probably be easier to
just pick up a cheap remote module from the aftermarket security world.
There are a ton of keyless modules out there you can do plenty with.
Stuff like this may be a lot easier:

Looks like you've got power,
ground and the other three
( these are for the pin #s on the lock module end...)
B16: Test signal for the receiver
A8: Signal, data from receiver, ID code
A9: Signal, signal strength from receiver

still, i think this is something I can work with...

I hooked everything up last night: computer power supply for power and then hooked up the other 3 wires to an Arduino to monitor the signals....
The new battery i thought I had for the remote was wrong kind (2032 vs 2016), so this is on hold for a couple days.
what I'm really curious about is... what will I see on those wires? i guess the arduino can really only see the voltage between 0 and 5... could it be anything else? pwm?
