The 855 is been getting harder to start and now is dead. Battery or Alternator? Guess I should first have the battery tested, right? If it is good then it should be the alternator, correct? Just thinking out loud...

Can you jump it off? If you can jump it it is not likely fuel related although you may have fuel issues contributing to the weak start...If it will jump, drive it to auto house to free test battery and alternator. check grounds to be sure they are clean. Check battery cables. Those are the high probability items...it gets harder from there...

...thats what she said?

Seriously though, I've had a problem that sounds similar for a while now. Had my battery and alternator tested and all was fine....thought I had norrowed it down to my glove box light....but now that the cold weather is back, the problem has started to come back.

Good luck....if I come up with anything new on mine I'll be sure to post it.

How are your plugs? Wires? Cap rotor... Mouse nest in the air filter. All the extremely basic things to check.

Fuel pressure at the rail
Battery age
Battery voltage resting (after 12hrs ish from full charge)
Battery voltage while running (if you can get it running)
Voltage off the alternator to test voltage drop to rule out cables.
Corrosion at the terminals
CEL if so what codes

Basics......

Wow. So far, It actually seems like it was the battery. Old one tested 'Bad' at two shops. New one in and it starts right up. We'll see if this continues...
FWIW old battery was dated 2003.
