I don't want to name names and be a total dick but I sent a email asking a simple question about information on their website that I found incorrect. I received a ranting pissed off email which pretty much told me I was stupid for even asking. Maybe dude was having a bad day but not very professional by any means.... Maybe they should change the info for part fitment on their site? What a DICK!

I am not willing to post the email. That falls in total dick territory, I thought it was kinda funny and understand but at the same time it was kinda rude.

Then this thread is a total waste of time. What do you have to loose by posting the email? If they weren't nice, they weren't nice, why does that make you a dick?

It's sad to see this cause so many of the guys at ipd are stellar dudes

They (VS) wax their cars? I thought the lastest craze was to wrap them in viynl so the paint is flat. At least thats what won the IPD show.

Here is the debate, I asked about wheel fitment as they list the 19" pegs as a direct fit for the 850. After talking to some people that told me that is not possible I got this.. I would not suggest running 19" wheels on an 850, particularly if your vehicle is lowered. I owned an 850 and ran 18" IPD Pegasus replica wheels (with iPd sport springs) and the ride was terrible. The 850 chassis is very firm and unforgiving is at is, and with 19" wheels the ride would be bone-jarring. You would almost certainly need to roll the front fender lips in order to accommodate such a large wheel, and even then you would likely encounter rubbing not only at full lock or other tight-turning scenarios but also in everyday driving and over speed bumps, potholes, or any other significant deviation in the road surface. I would encourage you to go online to a Volvo enthusiast forum and research what other Volvo owners are saying about 19" wheels on an 850/70 series Volvo, and I think may have a change of heart. Would it look cool, sure... but at what cost to the drivability of the car?? I hope this information is helpful, and thank you for your interest in our products!

then I asked..... Thank you for the info, I was sort of wondering the same thing. More wondering why your website listed them as a fit for an 850.

We list them because technically they do fit the car... Some customers out there are more interested in the aesthetics of their vehicle rather than the drivability, so we do offer them for sale for the 850 series (we actually had a debate about this very subject in a customer service meeting, and ultimately we decided to continue to list them).

It doesn't sound like they fit at all to me. Maybe this isn't that rude but their product info is miss leading.

People put 22's on their cars, doesn't mean it should be put on their cars, it fits means that the offset/bolt pattern will fit on your car, the website isn't misleading, your knowledge of wheels just isn't that good, and I see that somebody gave you correct guidance in the application to the vehicle (and I'm not being a jerk or knocking on you btw)

But maybe I just don't get it

When you can't read or write English properly, everything seems like curse words.
