Remember that even after its done it will not look perfect. When using the dye it is very important not do it in the sun or on a hot day. Also make sure to keep a wet edge! Simple tips and not much of a write up but it will save you a head ache, trust me!

What's the point of this thread/post? This is useless without pictures, and with only 2 pointers that you can find elsewhere with a proper search.
Besides, the Shoe dye method is pretty much idiot proof, you can't really mess up. But it doesn't look great either even when done somewhat properly, it's blotchy and has uneven shine. A way better technique is using bumper paint and actually masking the car to do so, way smoother looking.
