There's a 2001 s60 at the yard as of yesterday. No clue what trim. What's the difference between 2.4, 2.4t, or t5 motor? I would research more myself but im mobile.

To summarize:
all '01 engines had VVT, NA had VVT on intake, turbos had VVT on exhaust. Otherwise, the heads were the same, same valves, springs, etc. only cams and VVT were different.
2.4 is 83 mm bore, 90 mm stroke around 10:1 compression
2.4T is LPT, 83 mm bore, 90 mm stroke, compression 9:1
2.3 is HPT (T5) 81 mm bore, 90 mm stroke, compression 8.5:1
Engine has serial number and engine type on decal on front engine cover (passenger side) and it tells you what engine it is, if ther is a "T" in the engine type, it is turbo, but
B5244S in NA
B5244T is LPT turbo
B5234T3 is HPT (T5) turbo

Keep in mind that the longer (stronger) rods and shorter pistons did not show up until '02. Try to get one of those unless you plan on replacing them anyway.
