So this past summer i purchased a beautiful (impeccably well maintained) 2004 V70 Titanium Edition to take the role of my new Daily Driver. On arrival i of coarse was under the impression that i wouldn't mod, but its so hard to stay away from old habits. So i decided i would just keep my mods simple and cosmetic. The car it self has just about every factory option offered. Titanium gray on black leather, dark cherry dash, power folding mirrors, bi-xenon, spoiler, and such.
So i figured if i was going to clean it up... i would need and i purchased.
R bumper
Wiper delete with plugs
R grill
R fogs
Euro R headlight Mod...
real VST CF front lip
Wheels
Lower
all the differant hardware to actually mount the bumper
05+ tail lights ( the only thing i have left to find / buy)
So i began sourcing parts, and cleaning up things in my free time.
my first project with cerium oxide... will never do that again.
before:

after:

applied 3M protective film to make it last.
purchased a bunch of different wheels before finally decided on the ones that i wanted wrapped in the tires i wanted

purchased an used silver R bumper, and had it customized a bit to still be titanium heritage

sanded down bare
painted titanium metallic base
painted titanium silver moulding trim
filled license plate holes
bottom reshaped
my question:
i know i wont keep the carbon on there through the winter (its a special occasion lip), but should i be patient and just wait until after winter to put the whole bumper on? I want to bolt it up now and enjoy how good it looks, but i would hate to see it get pitted and salty during the off season.

I missed this place
