Ive been driving one for about a month now, V6 fwd, pulling about 25-6 mpg, its pretty quick too, comfortable also.

Only complaint I have is that if your in traffic, accelerate then stop and have to accelerate again the CVT trans has a very unnerving hesitant feel to it, alot like driving around in wintermode for a few feet..

I know tons of people that have newer Escapes and for the most part nobody really has any genuine complaints about them. They're good for what they are, a little psuedo-SUV type of commuter vehicle. It's just another buy-n-drive type of car.

I wouldn't buy anything used from a rental agency. I've never met anybody that treats a rental vehicle like it's their own.

no worries about that, my sister works there for 8 years and helped my dad find a suburu forrester. it was nothing but flawless untill the hail. now it looks like swiss cheese and he wants a new suv
