Now, the Lakers have backed out of CP3 talk, and seem to be going guns-drawn for Dwight. The Mavs get Kardashian, but have lost Chandler, Butler and most likely, J.J.
If the Lakers want Dwight, they'll have to give up Gasol and Bynum. That puts them in a jam, because they have no one around Kobe and Dwight at that point. They'll probably have to take on Hedo's shitty contract, and that's going to hinder them for a year unless they can amnesty that shit (although I think Artest's contract should be amnestied).
Enough talk about the Lakers, though. Lets move on to the more important topic for everyone outside of Faker Nation....The Dallas Mavericks. Chandler, gone. Butler, gone. Barea, most likely gone. We have young talent, but it's very inexperienced. Beaubois and Mahimi have no experience, and I really don't think Brendan Haywood is or every will be Chandler. We NEED Dwight, but at what cost? What do the Mavs have left to offer? If we get Dwight without a contract extension, we'll give up HUGE pieces just to let the guy walk to the Lakers, Nets or Celtics next season. It's not worth the risk. However, I don't see Dwight signing an extension with the Mavs if the Mavs have to give away all the talent. We'll have an aging Nowitzki, Terry and Odom, and totally unreliable others, along with Dwight. We can't win with this. With Prokhorov shitting money in Brooklyn, I don't see how we can make a run for D-Will either. I see Dwight ending up there, but we'll see.
Opinions? I can't sleep these days. This NBA stuff is keeping me nervous. It's really hard to predict what's going to happen. We only know that Dwight and CP3 will most likely be out of their respective homes very soon.
On a side note, someone should start a thread about baseball free agency. I have some opinions on that also. Mainly about how the Rangers need to land Prince Fielder and a relevant closer, now that Neftali is in the starting rotation, and CJ and Albert are in Anaheim (a division rival).

I'm a Celtics fan but haven't heard of any big moves coming down the pike but will have my eyes&ears peeled and hopefully they'll sneak a good FA player.
That being said I also HATE the Lakers and dare them to sign Dwight Howard so we can shut them out once they build a solid team like we did to the Heat of last season.

We got Kurt Thomas so the road to the conference championship has begin, LOL.
Of all the team, I think Blazers have been cursed by the basketball god. Roy retired, Oden have another setback (ligament issue). God knows when he able to be playing on the hardwood floor again. LMA wont' be available for another two weeks due to a medical procedure to correct his heartbeat.
wow, Lakers got owned on this deal. hahahah
In a deal that confused many, the Lakers dealt Odom and a second-round draft pick to the Mavericks for a first-round pick, a trade exception and

I know, Xavier-Cincy was the truth!
Wow, though, on Cuban stealing Odom for a trade exception. But the Fakers are smart...they've got something brewing for Dwight....I mean, think about that trade exception and Hedo's contract...hmmm....has us guessing
And Billups to the Clip...watch out for CP3 in the other Los Angeles!
Lots of things happening right now man....I'm hoping everyone stays put, actually...leave things as are...let Dwight stay in Disney, and let CP3 stay in the Quarters.

no extension per say, but he did agree to let the Clip Show pick up the 2013 option on his contract.....so they have him for 2 seasons at the least....i still think it's a shitty trade for the Clippers, and only because they gave up Eric Gordon in it. They were saying for weeks that Gordon was untouchable, but in the end they gave in, and only with a 2 season guarantee.
We'll have to wait and see what happens, but I think they are heading in the right direction with adding Butler and Billups, two veterans who can help guide a young team (especially Billups, he's a class act)....I think CP3 is going to stay with the Clippers and eventually sign a new contract....they will have success this year...and besides that, CP3 and Griffin highlights are going to be hitting our SportsCenters very soon...can't wait.
