It was officially announced for tomorrow. Who is getting one. I want one but not sure if I want to spend the $300 now.

I have pretty much decided it'll be my next phone.
I'll have to wait till January for my provider to get it though.

The Galaxy Nexus is the Google Flagship phone with Ice Cream Sandwich OS from Google. It is "untouched" by the carrier and the vendor (Samsung). Meaning no skinz or Blurs or TouchWiz or whatever.

It has dual core 1.2Ghz processor, NFC (awesome) and many other great things. I just dont think i can do the $300 price tag right now with the holidays.

Oh and LTE network where you get cable internet speeds on your mobile phone.

these devices are just not there yet IMO...a few more years and they'll be much better...battery life, processing power e/t/c...i know everyone and their mother has one these days, but that just means there was an influx of early adapters

who cares if it's touched by the provider, root it and your fine. Who runs a droid without being rooted and all the craptastic software removed?

Personally, I like my iPhone 4 verizon with $55 (no tax or fees) 500mb data and unlimited text and minutes. Cant beat that!

I don't know how you get by with only 500mb. I have months where I hit 3gb easily.

I want one but I dont want the 300 dollar bill... ironically my blackberry storm 2 has never caused me any issues and its still completely scratch proof. I was hell bent on getting an iPhone but then I was like meh I have an iTouch. Idk shit about phones so I just go find one that I think looks entertaining. I want whatever bulletproof phone is out there really because in the event I do drop it or figure out how women drop phones in toilets & try it out myself I want to know it will survive.

I really want an iPad with wifi everywhere I go without having to get wallet molested for the stupid data package because again I dont do shit with smart phones anyways. I might be more organized & shit if I figured it out but id rather cut my nipples off than learn how to use every gadget there is on my "shitty" blackberry let alone a new phone

For everything I mentioned that will not be in place in 3 years.

The coverage everywhere you go is not the phones fault, it is your carriers fault (mostly)... what carrier do you have Travis and how "in the woods" are you in CT?

It really wasn't that bad until they shut AMPS down. I spend a lot of time in the northern part of the state where it can get pretty desolate as far as population goes. I used to really have no problems when analog was available as far as signal goes, but since then there's too large of an area that isn't covered anymore. People used to bitch about analog, but when you're way deep into nowhere basic voice service is a lot better than nothing at all. A lot of areas that were covered now aren't, and they aren't going to blow cash on providing service for a few people.

You volley back a few emails a day with some decent sized attachments and you can hit 500 right there. If I take the kids to some place where I have to wait around for something, I'll watch TPB on Netflix...that shit adds up fast. Pandora sucks it up too.

But, browsing in itself doesn't really use all that much.

If I had an unlimited plan I might hit that with pandora on the road. BUT I can't beat the price for what I get, as I'm on WiFi 99% of the time.

HTC all the way, the samsung phones feels so cheap each and everytime i touch one. NOT a $300 phone.

I'd get the HTC Amaze, root it over clock it and get a extended battery.

I am currently runnign a HTC Sensation with a 1900mah battery and unlimited text/talk/web (no cap on data) $70, its rooted, overclocked and battery lasts for 1.5 days with the bigger capacity battery.

Iphone...you are forever tied to an outlet or you dead.
