So i've had my DDM HIDs installed for about 4 months now with no problems (Lows and fogs). I'm not sure if the cold weather is causing this or if its a plain and simple dying ballast but heres what happens. When i first start my car up they all turn on just fine and stay on. But after they're warmed up if i turn off my lights and then turn them on again, my driver side fog flickers then goes out. It'll only turn back on if i wait a while for the lights to "cool down". Out of desperation i bit the bullet and snipped the wiring harness and connected the wires directly thinking i wasn't getting enough current flowing through the modified setup. After all that i was fuming to find it still didn't work. I then swapped around a known working low beam ballast and it worked every time! Its odd because the faulty one i was using for the fog light couldn't turn on my low beam at all. So it looks like i've diagnosed the issue myself to be a faulty ballast. I understand its pretty amazing to buy HIDs for lows and fogs for only around $50 so that right there is probably enough to tell me why i'm having this issue. The good thing is a new ballast is only less than $15 anyway

My main point of this post is I'm wondering if other people have this issue and if its common? If i keep having this issue i'll probably quit cheaping out and get a better brand HID setup but otherwise i'm still satisfied for what i payed.

I think DDM got lifetime warranty on all their hid kits, so if its going out id give em a call.

DDM stuff is straight up crap. I have friends who used their HIDS and they had nothing but problems such as this.

Go on ebay and look for Xentech hids. I've had mine put on since Dec. 2007 (headlights) and still running just fine.
