Yea I mean I'm not looking for anything like Windowblinds, just something very basic (aka: not a memory hog) without having to use the windows default way.

Well my desktop pc just shit the bed.. 8 years was a good run I think the motherboard finally packed it in. Gives me the "system failed cpu test" error with nothing in the board other than the cpu.. and the speakers plugged in. Swapped CPUs and the same thing. Tried a different PSU and also restting the BIOS. I was so pissed last night, I was ready to take a hammer to it.

Time to start acquiring parts i guess. I hear the new Pentiums are coming out in April and the new 600 series vid cards sometime in Feb? Boards being sold now are compatible though. Wahts a good Asus board to start with?

I'm using the first gen version but still a great well rounded board. It will take anything in LGA1155 (Core i7 / i5 / i3 / Pentium). I'm going to look into what socket the next gen processors are coming in, I'd buy ahead

Edit: The processors coming out in april are all compatible with that motherboard, the motherboard will just need a bios update

I ordered a couple cathode tubes. Should be here friday. Gonna be sweet.

Yeah I have 3 12" UV cold cathode tubes hidden in the case. the one on the right in that picture is moved to the left, and hidden. I also put a smaller white tube underneath the reservoir. Also none of my fans have lighting. The UV tubes make them glow like that

No, I mean stuff that reacts to UV lighting. There are no LED's in any of my fans

The ones i got arent UV.
Theyre 12" cold cathode tubes but the light is neon not UV.
