I have a guy that is selling his 855 R seats and I might take just the skins because hes in England and I was wondering will they fit on a non R?
Any bolster problems?

Seat bolsters are different between 850 R and non R seats. You'll need the bottom seat cushions or you'll have some floppy seat skin. I guess you could try adding material to your seat cushion if you wanted.

Yup, R bolsters are different. You can use T5-R skins on your standard 850 seats with no additional bolstering if having the suede is that important to you.

It's not that easy...the bolstering is completely different. So we're talking about completely redoing the entire seat. This isn't something you can easily do unless you have extensive automotive upholstering skills (and I'm not talking about changing out the skins, I'm talking about reshaping and recutting the foam). Do this wrong and you'll have lumpy seats and/or loose fitting skins.

i would not recommend doing foam bolstering modifications your first time skinning seats. i used T5R skins on my seats and they fit without a hassle. R skins would have been quite different.

You can't just "get the foams." They are attached to the seats. These aren't that rare in the US, especially in charcoal...why not just have someone on this side of the ocean ship you the entire seats from a parts car or something? Might cost a little more, but certainly worth it (speaking from experience).

No, like get a whole seat if you're dead set on having the 850R seats. Or find a set of T5R skins or S70 SE skins and be on your way with a simple skin swap.

Cost me $150 to ship 2 front seats and the complete set rears via Greyhound across the country last year.

There's a reason they are 1) so cheap and 2) still available after 443 unique page views. I've got tan R seats myself and yes, I had to wait a bit, but it was worth it.
