SInce the summer when I put the Motegi's on, I have been trying to locate Tuner style lugs in 33mm instead of the standard 27mm length, partly because I'm using 4mm spacers & don't feel that I have enough of a safety net in terms of thread purchase in the hubs.

So far, I haven't come up with anyone who sells longer TUNER lugs in our thread pitch & size. There must be others on here using Tuner style, what have you come up with?

What about converting to studs & nuts, anyone done that? Must be Tuner style, or they won't fit the wheels.

I haven't seen any lug that matches our thread pitch either but I think there was someone on the forum (possibly Ben?) that was selling stud conversion and maybe that is an option as sourcing a longer stud might be easier than the lug with the proper pitch & tapered head

Good thought - I just checked his site and he has 12x1.75 to 12x1.5 stud conversion.

I think that's the best way to go - then I just need two sets of lug nuts depending on which wheel I'm using.

yea it might be a pain to have 2 sets of lug nuts but I don't think there are much options out there for us in regards to our lug bolt thread pitch & head. I am interested in doing this only for the fact its nice to not have to hold the wheel as you thread the first bolt haha

Yeah -especially when the pegs & tire weigh 49lbs - that's what my winter tire/wheel combo weighs

Speaking of winters... I still havent put my sexy steelies & blizzaks on! where is this snow at :( I mean I don't drive my car in the snow but I still have snow tires. Luckily every weekend has been decently warm & clear so I have still been out assaulting local roads. previously you put that link up for the stud conversion... I was thinking BMac, does BMac work with Kaplhenke? or do I have a different ben

I did the stud conversion and ran them with 20mm spacers up front all summer without issue.

Didn't know Ben (BMac) had any dealings with this- so I assumed you meant the other Ben :D

Good to note - what length nuts did you buy & for what wheel?

Ben is out of stock on the studs.

Found a source for 12x1.75 - 12x1.5 conversion studs, but they all seem to be 1.75" total length - this seems like it would be a tad short for alloy wheels, but maybe that's all that's really needed. That would allow slightly under .5" seating on each end, I reckon.

Not sure on the nut length but they are extended closed end nuts. The studs were from Kalphenke. The wheels are OE Volvo Odysseus.

It's funny you made this thread because I was researching the same thing yesterday. I have Gorilla small diameter tuner lugs 2" total length with 1" thread but would like to find something longer so I can run spacers in the rear with the new wheels.

I currently have 15mm spacers in the rear with the stock Perfos using extended lugs but the new wheels require the small diameter lugs. With the different width and offset, I won't need 15mm in the rear, but 5mm might be nice.

I ended up ordering studs & black tuner nuts from here

1.75" Total length. Couldn't find any longer, but I'm only running 4mm spacers. If they look good, I'll order a set of stud nuts in black for my Volvo winter Pegs.

He's been good so far - guess it depends on the product. He has the Koni's I need, just waiting for him to make the mods for AWD installation.

Call an h&r dealer and order extended lugs.....i believe they are 17mm heads instead of 19mm.....this is what i initially used with my 10mm and 15mm spacers

Now i have kaplhenkes studs up front with 15mm spacsrs and tuner nuts....and rear i just have 25mm bolt on spacers with 17mm head bolts

Hussein, another option is to contact aaron in houston....i believe he can get you or make a stud kit anyway you want it
