I am runing a k24 turbo on my 1998 t5 and the stock cbv on the k24 need to be replace.

I can upgrade for a heavy duty cbv from viva performance or it could be a great time to put a blanking plate and install a blowoff valve.

If both are doing the same job I would like to try the blowoff. The only thing about that is that I dont know a lot on blowoff for my car.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

r u running stock ecu?

by adding the bov everytime it purges you will richen the mixture slightly, this has potential flame out the exhaust with loud pop effect

otherwise on stock boost aplications bov's aren't really needed anyway at this point it goes by how much you wanna spend

Forge cbv... instead of the rubber diaphragm it has a metal piston. It'll outlast your car/turbo. Works great.

I experience my 850 to "drown" in fuel after shifting because all the air left through my forge DV but it feels like it does inject a lot of fuel. I'm removing the forge because of. This

I ran just the bov on my S60 (ME7 seems more tempermental to this) and the car didn't like it much. I put the stock cbv back on have have been running both for a while now. At low boost (1-4psi) the cbv appears to react faster while at higher boost(5+) the bov kicks. This keeps the car from getting ridiculously rich during regular driving shifts and throttle lift. While at WOT runs it doesn't matter so much as the car stays in the second 1/2 of the rpm range during shifts. This is also with a dual piston bov which is a bit more forgiving then a single piston design. Just my experience. You'll find a lot of info and different experiences though.

The proper way to do this is run a recirculating valve....something like the Turbosmart Kompact series. This has been beat to death, vent to atmosphere BOV's are not good for the A/F ratios on these cars.

I have a complete plug and play setup available...PM me if interested.

That's what I'm running on my K04 and I'm very satisfied with it.
