How To Remove Trunk Spoiler?

My spoiler is all faded and i want to see how it looks without..but for the LIFE of me i just can't get the damn thing off!! I don't want to put anything between the trunk and spoiler and scratch the paint (although maybe one of those plastic paint scrapers would be ok). I've had luck using WD40 to remove the Volvo decal so maybe i should spray some under there and let it soak? I'm almost thinking of using one of those chain hoists on a beam in my garage to rip the thing off..but it almost seems so stuck that itll bend me trunk lid.

Did you unscrew the bracket holding it onto the trunk?

brackets on each side, 3m tape, and don't forget to unplug the brake light cable leading into it

There are 2 style spoilers on s70's.
1: Drilled in through trunk, have to remove inner matting on trunk lid to get to screws.
2: Clipped on from the side with brackets. There is also adhesive tape on the underside of spoiler.

fishing line or an .09-.11 guitar string..and careful use with a heat gun. then some residue cleanup afterwards..unless you color sand and polish/buff you will still be able to see where it was..
