So my brother bought a 2000 volvo s40 1.9t and wants me to swap over his system ( two 10"s, amp, headunit). I've installed dozens of systems so the technical part is easy. i was just wondering (havent seen under the hood yet) the best way to run the power wire from the front battery to the trunk? Any help would be great!

I have a v40, but I found a grommet on the left hand side of the firewall in the engine bay, ran 1/0 gauge wire through it, popped out on the passenger side, near cabin air filter area.
Unscrew and remove the particle board cover.
Take out the kick panel and plastic running board panel next to it.
Should be able to run it along side there. Sorry I can't help you out when you get to the trunk area.

Thanks a lot! Got the whole system done yesterday and had a hell of time removing the B-pillars, but got it done.

Mine were easy coming off, but a pain getting back on. Had to use several long flat tip screw drivers on either side to pry it back on.
