Will 3rd row seating from a 98 XC70 fit into 94-97 855s?

Thanks.

So i'm guessing the tails, rear seats etc.. will all swap over into basically any 94-00 wagon?

All 94-00 are the same for those parts and many others.

Pretty much straight across yes. Tails and rear interior panels should be plug and play. 3rd brake light requires the drilling of 2 holes to mount it to your hatch and cutting enough of the 98's harness to tie it into your existing. Also the 98 hatch doesnt have the internal release, so that panel is solid vs yours having a hole in it. Snaps in just fine though if you dont mind losing the latch...not like you want kids accidentally opening the thing anyway.

My 98 has an internal latch release on the hatch but it is an early production number...come to think of it the 98XC I work on sometimes does too

Hrmm...then maybe it was just 99 or 00 that had the different tailgate release. The few v70/xc70's that I've ever looked at were all without the inside release, only having the lock/unlock pull up by the wiper, but no actual lever to open the hatch from the inside.

Couple questions..

What's the easiest way to get the 3rd row seat latch out of the back of the second row seat? Do I just need the plastic piece in the photo or is there more to it? After reading a few threads, I believe the wagons come with most of the bits in the back of the seats, you just need to cut the carpet and install said plastic piece?

Also.. does anyone know that those two metal brackets bolted to the backs of the 2nd row seats are for?

Probably cargo holds.

The little plastic latch gets pushed up or down and then comes out.

Looking on Ebay to see what to sell my seating for and came across this

http://www.ebay.ca/i...=item230ba848fd

Says the seatbelts from 96 and older are not compatible? My set is from a 98 XC70, just wondering if it will indeed fit 94-97 850s as well as 98-00 wagons?

The metal brackets are for car seat tethers that go over the top of the seat. Just installed one the other day on my '98.

So all you need to do is swap or buy a new clip and shove it into the back of the second row seat?

Swap if you can get it out, if not see if they can be ordered. Last time I checked they were like 35ish...

Yep. Got it out without issue. You just push it down and it pops out.

What about the piece with the swing up lock thing...is it easily replaceable?
