So, I go outside to have a cig break at work.. Look at the water (our building is on the harbor that leads out to the LI-Sound).. and either the hulk was taking a piss, orrr something bad was happening. Shortly after FD shows up, chemical spill team shows up.. Either or, pictures are pretty devastating.

I heard you like radiators, so we replaced all your water with coolant.

We used to own a hotel in Norwalk. Glad we sold it before the toxic spill!

Did you report the spill?

News Article

Quote

“It’s just green dye. We were dye-testing storm lines because storm water (sometimes) goes into the sanitary sewers. We’re trying to reduce inflow from storm water,” said Ralph K. Kolb, wastewater systems manager for the WPCA. The dye “is bio-degradable, non-hazardous.”

Big old bucket of fail on giving a heads up. Hell, might have even made sense to call the press a week ahead of time and have it printed that they'd be doing the testing. But at least put out word among the public workers....

it'll be pretty funny if that green dye sticks to those boats because i'm sure the owners will be looking to get it removed not on their buck

St PAtricks day.. fudgie beat me too it.

Actually, LIS is much cleaner than you all think. Your thinking about it like its 30 yrs ago.

But yeah, boat owners = pissed off.
"Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built." - Abe Lincoln
