Figured I'd share, because there are a few rare items pictured here.

Story goes, I'm on my way back from IL spending time with parents for the holidays and on my way back through I stopped to meet a guy to get some parts for the sedan and wagon. His name is Andre, and he lives down in Wapauca, WI, I was initially contacted by him because he wanted to buy my R when it was up for sale as he saw it on CL. He ended up not being able to offer me what I wanted for it, but never the less I kept in touch as he seemed to be very knowledgeable and a good source of parts.

Needless to say, a half a year later I finally went to meet up with him in person and get parts. Got a fender and some other misc. stuff for my 240's. Of course on the way home from his house this happend:

poke DEER!!!!! I'll be going back down to his place soon to get more stuff to fix the shaggin wagon. I miss driving her so!!

Anywho, on to his collection that was out and I was able to photograpgh with mys shitty phone camera. Some are pretty cool, and very rare for instance....

Another cool gem that caught my eye was Andre's pride and joy, this 88 740 Turbo. It's special for the options that are on the car. You may notice that the car sports a body kit and tail light insert around the licence plate that is not common to 700 series cars, along with its spoiler. The kit is all OEM. In fact, it's one of 1,300 or so kits ever produced. It was a dealer option, but never sold well due to its high sticker tag at the dealer. As a result, you won't see this very often. So well cared for is this particular car, that it's over 300k!!

Andre' also had scores of 240's, and some quite nice ones. I really liked what he had done with his 89 240 GLT. I really want to do a simmilar look with my 240 DL sedan. Wish I had a picture, but I don't.

Not pictured because they were in storage, were some of his other prized Volvo's, including a 350+ hp 850 t-5 wagon.

He also has an 850R, well, a very rare example, he has a cream yellow 95 850 T-5R, only one of 185.

He also owns an all original 40k orignial mile 240 GT Turbo Coupe. So rad. I was jelly hard core. This guy has quite the collection, and is a super nice dude. He also has other non-volvo's that are pretty neat as well.

Just figured I'd share this with everyone since we like old volvo's and stuff. I wish the R and 240 turbo were out from winter storage so I could have gotten pics, oh well.

I'm in love with that body kit. It almost makes me want a 740 turbo. Well I kinda want one anyway, but his is really sweet.

That 740 reminds me of the 2nd gen Nissan Maximas with that body kit on it.

He isn't online much he says, tho I think he is a VS member. Shoot, I wanna start doing more meets, I'm up in the UP. I'd be down to do a few more, I did once downstate once when I had my R, the peeps were cool. If we get one going in the summer or spring I'll go. I'd like to have my silver 240 up to snuff since it dosen't look like total garbage, but it needs a lot of work yet.
