I remember asking a long time ago about torches, and then ended up getting a Fenix LD20. Since then, I've added a few more lights to my collection. Not as much as some have on candlepowerforums.com, but it's decent.

Anyone else got some torches?

Left to right:
* Zebra Light H31W headlamp (warm white, ~189lm, single Eneloop AA)
* Fenix LD 20 (natural white, ~215lm, two Eneloop AAs)
* UltraFire T6 (natural white, ~300lm, single 18650)
* UtlraFire T6 (natural white, ~350lm, single 18650)
* Generic 24W HID light (annoying 6000K color, ~1400lm, large proprietary battery)

I went on that forum once. It was wierd, all those people getting geeked up over flashlights.

I carry a 4-cell Maglite in the car mainly as a club, a 6-cell I keep in the room and I have a shitload of generic LED flashlights all over the house and garage.

Damn that's nuts. Doubt I'd spend so much on a light, but then again some people spend crazy amounts of camera gear, car parts, computer parts, etc.

I guess you could say flashlights are another one of my interests besides cars, I've just never really devoted much money to them. I have quite a few inova lights and have always wanted a tactical light, but could never bring myself to drop the kind of money that most of them cost. Recently I've been thinking about picking up a fenix TK15 though. Just curious, how do you like the LD20?

I have a guy that I subcontract in the winter who is on that forum..can barely afford to pay his bills and take care of his family, but he has fucking flashlight for every occasion..(except buying groceries). Has a $2500 dodge ram that always breaks down and 10 grand worth of flashlights so he can see to fix it in every light and weather condition..all kept in cases.

That is straight-up fucking retarded. We all have hobbies that cost coin...but flashlights? I'm just not getting it...or maybe I'm some sort of jackass for not collecting them..who knows.

I work with a guy that lives in a $1k trailer and probably drops $20k/year in comic books and horror film memorabilia. He should be spending money at the massage parlor since I doubt he ever gets any tail.

I bought a Coast LED Lenser for work. I needed a bright compact light to inspect our products and there are some tight spaces which it needs to fit into. Quite robustly constructed as well.
