Right, so here a couple blips of the throttle from today:

- 3" Turbo-back with resonator about halfway down and Magnaflow muffler in the stock location

- '00 V70R engine swap

- green injectors

- 19T

- R exhaust manifold

- Forge dual-piston BOV

- IPD intake

- ARD tune

This one is from a while back, couple weeks after the swap, still open downpipe. Its pretty crappy, pretty much just realized at the last moment that I didn't have any decent recordings of the open downpipe.


And this is the first startup after the swap. Really doesn't capture how raunchy it sounded.

i know what you mean about how loud it is when you first started, ive wanted a exhaust cut out so bad since that day lol

Not bad at all. My commute has me on the highway for about 20min each way and the interior is fairly gutted. Can definitely hear it, but I wouldn't call it drone. Don't have the pn of the muffler, but it was just whatever straight through 3" in/out they happened to have at the shop I took it to, so its not one of the race mufflers.

Yeah dude, one of these days I'll need to get a cutout installed. So far I'm planning to go to SoWo, just haven't made any arrangements.

Yeah, dude, ditto. So, when're you going to drop that wagon off with Aaron so he can make it low and fast? I still have a few parts leftover if you end up swapping in a tranny with external slave.

Had no idea this swap was going down, congrats! Driving impressions? Future dynos or track days planned?

Headliner, door cards, carpet, speakers, headunit, deadening, rear seats. It feels pretty good. Haven't dynoed it yet.

With the interior it started out as a plan to just fix and clean things up. Door cards were falling apart, headliner drooping, you know, that sort of thing. Its all sitting in my garage along with some of the interior from the same R the engine came from. I'll get around to it one of these days.

At autocross I'm still two seconds slower than a stock NB Miata, so I don't think this car will ever be competitive. Its all just for fun.
