Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have a boost gauge at this time but if anything feels weird I'll botch one up and see what's happenin' :)

It's going in this week, then I get to enjoy the tune for the first time on the way to Carlisle next week! Fingers crossed it's done in time. :)

The Blue ARD has been in the V70 since September, but issues and time have been my down falls from posting on what an amazing tune this is! I love how much wider and smother the power band is and I'm so glad that I also stepped up to an 18T. The issues I was having was coolant leak, a sharp boost cut off and an extra car to use. Leak and boost cut off fixed about a month ago, thanks Danny, and extra car will be gone so I've been enjoying the tune in all it's glory. I think my most current issue is fuel economy, dropped a few MPG's, but it's okay.

I still need to pick up a boost gauge so I can monitor boost, but other than that, I'm very happy with my tune!

I really have NO idea what to expect once this engine goes back in. :josh: I've never even rode in a T5, or any other P80 for that matter, so it should be a real treat.

Lucky

What would you need to do a 2006 V70R custom tune? Enem cams and FMIC going in in the next few weeks. Would you need some data loging ( if so how ) or would I need to get the car up to you for the best results

TIA
Ron

@Bordvo thanks for posting up with your impressions, I always appreciate feedback good, bad, or otherwise!

@ckavolvo data logs are preferred but not required. ME7 fuel, boost, and timing strategy are all PID loops that are closed feedback. Meaning once we specify a fuel or boost target the ECU can measure the subsequent sensors and hit that target. So it's definitely helpful but not as necessary as it is with M4.x As for dataloggers, we'll have some OBDII units available on our website shortly and there's a host of them out there in the aftermarket. Additionally the factory DICE interface diagnostic tool is getting very inexpensive ($145 shipped) and includes factory level diagnostics and data logging!

No problem Lucky! It's good to be heard and I do have some experience with providing feedback to you during the development of the IPD springs, which I say "thanks" again for allowing me to beta test.
Yes, definitely like the tune and was wondering if the ARD vark tool ever came out? My apologies if this is no longer an idea or if it's been released and I'm just uninformed

ARDVARC is now available for 94-98 models but I generally only offer it for the larger builds where some back and forth adjustments tend to be necessary to dial the tune in 100%

Sebastian, Thanks for the kind words been way too long my friend, glad I had a chance to chat with you the other day!

What an excellent thread and a good read. Glad the ME7 has been 'tamed'.

I've seen similar reports from other makes/models running this ecu. It has great potential, just needs the knowledge as demonstrated on here to make it work?

Well done?

Thanks, unfortunately Volvo of course had to do ME7 different than the rest to it's all unique in it's own right..... means more work ultimately for me  Oh well!

Side note, have determined for sure that the DICE can load the ME7 ECU's and does not use VIDA. An additional program that Volvo had called SDA (software download app) can load via the DICE and OBDII port. So since the DICE units are now less than $150 shipped it might be an option for those that want to go that route.

I would of course provide neither the DICE or the SDA but both are available widely already.

I apologize if this was already covered and I missed it but I was just chatting with Danny about coilovers on the P2R's.
It's got me wondering if doing something like a 4C delete would be possible thought ECU tuning?
Personally I really like the 4C, but at the price of new 4C shocks and struts alone, one could buy AWD Coilovers and have plenty of money to spare...

Any thoughts about this?

So I've nearly finalized the map selection feature for cars with the 4C chassis buttons. This is mostly for 2004-2007 R models but covers any Volvo model with the Comfort, Sport, and/or Advanced buttons.

This means that you can select upto 3 on board maps through the 4C controls. So you might have valet, stock, and tuned map or could be based on octane for instance 89, 91, 93

Any ideas for a name for this option? I've come up with the following;
MMS - Multi map selection
MLT - Multi level tuning

Any suggestions?
