i want to convert those new active xenon headlight to my volvo s60 2001 halogen.
many problems will occour.
the headlight aiming module(hcm) get several signals from the can bus,
speed(from the brake system, abs, bcm module, need to be going over 5mph to be activated)
reverse light( from cem, deactivates when put in reverse)
light conditions( from cem, need to be dark for the aming to be activated)
steering angel dtsc system( i have that one, sas module)
is their any way to fake those signal direct to headlight perhaps? i know the modules ignore every
command put out on the canbus except the ones that have direct adress.
is there any equipment that listen to the canbus to get the right signals and send them directly
to the headlight without the hcm?
thanks!
keep up the good work lucky!

If I understand correctly you want to put bi-xenon in a standard halogen car correct?
It's pretty easy really so long as you don't require active headlight aiming. If you do then it's a big task and really not worth it IMO.
Anything can be done but getting a Can sniffer from ixxat and writing a custom program and hardware to interface the CAN bus commands via ixxat to a MCU to control the headlight would be a costly endeavor...

and it is the aiming i want to work no matter what cost. if somewhere in the future you maybe get free time from all you other prosject, you may jump on this, a lot of interested around the aming bi xenon lights in norway and sweden that is willing to pay for easy and or bolt on solution
i will look it up your suggestions, thanks for the input, i'am thankful.
i can hardwire bypass all functions except the signal from the dtsc angel, and need to extract that so the aming will be correct.
i will give it a go
