So the big question is would it make a noticeable difference in performance to put in the bigger throttle body from the N/A models?
And....besides the intake would you have to change anything else? (Snabb sells an intake pipe for the 3").

I can't really tell you it made my car faster but it made it much more responsive.
Do this and then also swap in a 960 throttle plate from a junk yard. It's worth it if you have the time.

Or just do what I did and get the NA intake as well which is already ported for the TB.
+1 on the 960 plate though.

i used a flap sander to enlarge the manifold, & had to extend the TPS sensor wires as its turned 90degrees on the 960
also removed LOADs of the lag from my 19t, did fit 3" RIP kit at the same time but the TB seems to make quite a difference

As for the TPS sensor. Take the metal mount plate (and if needed the linkage) off your existing throttle body and move it to the N/A. Then the hardware will all be in the same position and there is no need to move or extend wires.

VVIS manifolds on a turbo = a bad idea if you ask me. But i'm biased against them lol.

SOME people have mentioned that with the NA throttle body with a 960 plate that where is very unpredictable / touchy tip in throttle response. I have not felt this personally as I can't install a NA manifold & TB until I get someone to make me pipes... buttttttttt IF you do happen to have awkward / jumpy tip in throttle responce there is an option of simply keeping the NA throttle plate with the plastic damper. Seeing as the NA & Turbo have plastic wedges & the NA is still larger it will still flow more air than the turbo one will. Again I just had a few thoughts because I had to make alterations to a turbo one as I cant fit a 2.5" pipe over a 3" throttle body.
the variable intake system manifold would be cool if you could have a controler linked into the ECU & boost curve so that you could use it to help eliminate low RPM high boost situations. Maybe use it for increased low end performance to compensate for boost lag as well as a safe net for "too soon junior" boost and then onces its gradually gets toward a safe RPM the valves gradually open.
