Are there any Volvo head units that are a direct replacement for what I have already, something out of a s70 or later model? Something with a CD player installed already and not a rear changer...
I think the stock setup sounds good. Im thinking about adding a sub and amp later and maybe some different speakers.
Let me know your thoughts...

Any "premium sound system" from 1996 and up 850's will have a CD player in the unit and will match your interior color. The x70 radios will fit, but the color will be off.

Considering that the iPod wasn't invented until 2001 no Volvo had an included adapter until almost 5 years later. If you're looking for an adapter that works the Blitzsafe adapters can be wired in.

The SC-815 should be the right color, too.
The SC-816 is the same HU in a 70 series color.

And the 30-pin dock connector didn't come out until 2003.
