You replaced the yellow plastic piece at the firewall? What seems to be the issue?

I'll check out your question. Also: The right side of the cabin blows cold air while the left side blows slightly warm air. Is something else happening?
Thanks

Here's the facts, Jack:
1) Before I replaced the heater core the heater didn't heat all that well
2) After replacing the core and coupler the left side heats a little, but the right side blows cold
3) The anti-freeze is topped off.
4) There are no leaks.
5) The AC system needs to be re-charged.

Start, and warm engine
Turn on heat to highest setting
Still blows F*^&^%king cold
And.....the AC light stays on as if AC were engaged.

They control temp mix and where the air is directed.
Do you have MCC or ECC?
With either system, start by pulling the core cover back off and see if the
heater core itself is actually getting hot. That will tell you which way to go.

I'd like to thank all of you that took an interest in my dilemma; now I'm on to the cold start problem, again.
Thanks again.
Great site.
