So the PCV kit came in today, oh the joy of using a Saturday out in the freezing cold working on the car.
I was thinking about that petrified plastice hose that runs around the engine to the PTC. Could it be wrapped in aluminum foil to deflect some heat that is obviously damaging it?

Are you planning on keeping the vehicle for another 150K miles and/or 16 years?

Well supposedly a pcv service was done in the last 35000 miles / 4 yrs ago. So either it was one of the crappy non oem parts or somethings not right.
Im starting to think it was driven mosrly around town so had a pretty hard second owner life.
Im also looking for some pointers on the lower intake manifold bolts that are hard to get to.
Unfortunatley the majority of my tools are 3 hrs away nd i only have a small tool box with me.
What do i need to buy to reach this awkward bolt?
