I've looked at many threads on recovering the headliner board. I've assembled all my materials needed to do the job. Got the board out and prepped for fabric. I have the 3M adhesive. Got a sunny day tomorrow with a good temp. On all of the threads I've seen, no one goes into great detail as to actually putting the fabric upon the board. What have you guys done and had the best success with??? Roll up the fabric and start from back to the front? Front to back? Side to side? Get a couple of people and stretch the fabric out somewhat and carefully lay down on board and begin to push into the nooks and crannies? Like I said, I've seen great results from many here...just no good description on how that happend.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What kind of fabric?
If its foam backer headliner material, make sure you lay it out, foam side up so there are no wrinkles , and spray both surfaces. Wait for the glue to setup.
With two people lift and flip the material on to the board and smooth flat with your hand center out.
lift any corners in need and reapply glue to both surfaces. cut out holes and let dry for as long as you think you need.
Reinstall
Should come out like this.

Yes, it is foam backed headliner material. In the photo above it looks as though the man started at the back and got the foam started and the continued to apply adhesive and worked the material towards the front a little bit at a time....this is what I wanted to try as well.

If you are doing it by yourself you can do it that way, but you risk getting a line or wrinkle.
