I want to go to the JY and pull one but am not sure what range of years and models I can look for as a donor. Thanks for any help.

Should all be the same? Although why bother when you can do a new one for cheap.

Look up how to do a walbro unit as there is nothing special about a volvo pump other then the housing.

Decent advice lately, bing.

Go buy a walbro off eBay or online. They are less than $100 and easy to swap in. There is a write up floating around somewhere IIRC.

Hey is it true that the Walbro pumps are louder than whatever OEM is (Bosch?)?

Yes, they buzz slightly louder. I doubt the noise will be bothersome, especially if your car is already modified (exhaust, intake, etc)
