As it is now I can clone an ECU here at my bench but nothing remote yet. I know we all want this to happen, none more than me! And remember we're doing stuff here with ME7 that I've yet to see anyone in the aftermarket offer or take on.. so breaking new ground is always challenging from a patience standpoint, at least for me anyway.
I'm hoping for a remote solution to cloning but it's looking more and more like the time needed to develop it won't be worth it. Couple that with a remote tuner option becoming available shortly and we're in better shape than it might seem.
Thanks

When it comes to IMMO there's actually two codes: 1. is the transponder code to the Immo 2. is the Immo pin resident on the ECM and ECM. We're concerned with the later for this conversation.
Was talking to guy on a chip flashing forum last night and he swore you could simply remove the Immo chip from the ECU and it would allow the car to start. Well... I can confirm that's not true
Would have been nice if it was

I looked in VIDA the other day when I had the car hooked up to it and I couldn't find anything there either. It did say I had 4 keys programmed to the car. Unfortunately it only came with 1 when I bought it. LOL.
Would be nice to know if there is a way for us VIDA users to program new keys or transponders. There's got to be some kind of way if you could get a hold of the actual software file that is downloaded from the dealer. But I'm sure it's all just easy in theory. The ignition lock assembly is on its way out on my car and I really don't want to have to go to the dealer on it and I don't necessarily want to bypass the immobilizer.

End of the day, the remote loader makes all this moot so not sure if it's worth the effort....

Neu, my ecu came back and is installed into my car. WHAT A WONDERFULL DIFFERENCE. I dont care if fat albert is your next door neighbor(oliver) i would never ever use him again, you want a great running vehicle? You need ARD, with carlisle a few months away, maybe you can just do a tune on the fly at the show. i am so hapy with my car right now! you will too once you get the tune done.
