Got some more glass laid down yesterday and I'm going to lay some down shortly with the hope that it will be dry by tonight and I can lay down another layer! Then I should be at the point where it will be strong enough to test out!

Trimmed up the outside of the box from all of the fiberglass straggler parts.





and sanded down some of the rough parts on the box and all of the air bubbles that I was unable to smooth out.





Going to slap some body filler on it tomorrow and try to smooth it out a bit.

Installed the woofer yesterday and tested it out. Sounds pretty good actually. I need to totally tune it in but I would call the project a success!

I'll snap someone pics Tomorrow. I lost a handful of pictures when my phone crashed last week. I still need to wrap it with something but it's in the car and functioning.

looks good jon, i would have cheated and did something like this. lot less work and less of a mess....but you dont get the high from the resin
just a box up there with a pretty panel covering it all up, with access to the spare too.

That's nice but I was looking for something a bit more understated that would still allow me to use my trunk if need be. Plus, it can be taken out in like 3 minutes if I need even more room.

Haven't taken any... going to finish the bracket to hold it into the trunk panel tomorrow, then I just still have to find a suitable stretchy material to wrap it in...

haha, it was free, wasn't going to turn that down...

Picked up some carpet at Best Buy today for $13 and finished the project with a few bolts. Not a perfect match but it gets the job done!



Here's a pic to show how I ran the wires into the box and the two bolts I used to bolt it to the carpet.

Bad news is... the woofer is blown. but I have a replacement brand new Scosche unit from a friend that he's giving me for $25 and its like a $100 woofer so I'll switch it up to that later this week.

Swapped out the woofer with a different not blown one. Hits a bit harder, definitely nicer and doesn't stick out so much. Fits perfectly too.

haha yeah... I need a new mat or a really good cleaning on it. If I come across stuff that matches it better I'll do that. Or if I find a clean trunk mat that I can rip the carpet off of and use to wrap the box.
