01 T5 Head On 97 850

Well , I spun a bearing in my 01 motor and since my 01 head is entirely rebuilt, im going to drop in the 97 T5 block w/ the 01 head.
I used the 01 headgasket but I drilled out a few holes that the 97 headgasket had that this didnt,
Did i fukc up? SHould I have just left 01 headgasket stock and not drilled the extra holes that were in the 97 headgasket?

so you drilled holes in the HG? shouldnt be a problem, but yea the HG matches the head. very few changes in the block except the cyl bore, at least as it comes to the head gasket. just make sure the head is going to sit flush and no crowning around your new holes...
