I haven't had the code scanned, but the light goes off after about 2 hours of drive time if I don't really hammer on it. Where should I start? Anyone seen anything like this before?

Thanks,
Chris

Waste gate is stock closed due to vacuum, the cotter pin or a bad waste gate actuator.

Either way, you might brake something if you keep it up like this!

Cotter pin is in. The vacuum line is hooked up. I'll check the actuation of the wastegate when it cools down. If wastegate functions, then what?

Thanks.

P0234. Overboost, or something. Yes. Feels super quick, then the CEL comes on, and then I'm slow.

It's regulated by your waste gate so.... make sure it's actuating correctly.

Ok. That will be my morning project. Is it possible that the wastegate is seized or something? Or the actuator? Either way, I'll check it and see what's going on. There's also some kind of sensor that has 3 vacuum lines coming out of it and a couple of wires thats sitting next to the airbox. I'm assuming that a turbo control valve of sorts?

Thanks for the assist guys.

Okay. It seems that the wastegate was sticking and the vacuum line from the control valve was cracked and rotted. Lubed the wastegate and replaced the line. Good linear boost across the board and no CEL!

Thanks for the assist, guys.

Probably the same thing, sticking or vac lines are bad.

Okay. Here's how it goes. If the light is going to come on, it does it right at startup. If not, it doesn't come on now. Would that indicate sticking WG?

Nope. After driving it a couple of times not getting on it, the code goes away. Or at least, the light goes off.

Probably sticking...

Idle up to temp, open the hood and rev the motor manually while watching the waste gate actuate.

Okay. Found the issue, I think. Two of the vacuum lines on the TCS were routed incorrectly. Boost now comes on when its supposed to and stays on.
