Matt at TRS is awesome, cut me a deal about 2 years ago when I built my projectors.

Legendsecko87 (sp?) is running a set of Hyundai Sonata projector fogs with a 35W HID kit, and the output is impressive to say the least, far superior to stock fogs. Blazer fogs would be very similar in terms of light output.

Here's some info on the Blazer fogs:

OEM is definitely the best, however, TheRetrofitSource.com is excellent. Matt, the owner, is a very stand up guy with excellent customer service. Him and I have done wholesale business some months back and he's a very good person to deal with.

That's good to know. I wasn't trying to cut anyone down here, BTW, just inform those who haven't dealt with John about a good seller. Now we have more solid choices. Thanks for the tip.

First time I have heard of an issue with John on this board. In fact, I'm having a hard time believing it. Did you ever call him and talk to him? He's a stand up guy. What were the circumstances?

Well I had issues with the light flickering so I swapped the ballasts from one side to the other and the problem transferred so I emailed him and got a quick response with the paper work to send it back and I sent it all in the next day then the waiting started 2 months goes by and nothing so I contact him and he replies I don't remember exactly what was said because this happened 4 years ago then 2 months goes by again and I receive the same ballast with the sharpie mark I put on it marking it left side so I thought they took it apart and fixed it I put it in and same problem so I found ddmtuning.com and have been using them I've had two bulbs from them warrantied with in a week and all I had to do was email them pictures of what was going on and ddm is cheaper then John

I'm not one to talk bad about people but I think that was ridiculous that it took that long and I got the same one back!

Calling John a butt buddy is not gonna make you any friends on here, son. Try to keep things in perspective.

Nobody called you a lair, so calm down. All that was asked was your experience with John.

Keep the bickering out of here lolol, there's been way too much of it on VS lately

Please re-read what I actually said; Never called you a liar, or a bad guy. I don't even know you, so I don't judge. But I did suggest that if you insult a respected member of the Vendors list, it may come back to bite you. That has been shown to happen over and over on this board.

Having a bad experience with a vendor and posting about is what we are here for, among other things. No problem at all. Its encouraged.

Calling a paying and respected vendor a butt buddy is another thing all together. See the difference? I hope you can.

I'm done with this thread. Have a good day.

But not as an LED makeshift bulb in a Halogen based projector reflector system. Those LED bulbs will have very poor light output.

Any new sources for the H3C mini bulbs? Serge, how did your purchase go (I assume you received the bulbs already)? Have you installed them yet?

I have a HID fog retro kit for my 850 that I never installed, and now want to get the H3C mini bulbs and get it installed.

I did receive them some time ago. I think about two weeks after I paid for them. The link I posted on the first page has pretty much the best price, unless you buy a bunch and split with others (price breaks start early).

I got them to replace one that died in my car (water splashed on it, glass popped). The new ones work just fine and haven't given me any problems :)

They literally shine 2x farther then my low beams, which in themselves are pretty fantastic E55 projectors. And they have a projector cutoff so you dont blind people when you turn them on.

Do you have any close-up pics of how you mounted the blazers on your 850? Also, so you know where to buy them now? I don't see them on theretrofitsource site anymore.
